In 2000, I first brought my truck to AAMCO. Ever since then, I have had nothing but problems with my 1994 Chevy pickup. I had repeatedly told that that my truck was not shifting right and that going uphills was almost impossible. On January 28, 2011, my truck broke down completely. So I was told to bring it back to them so they can repair it because the transmission comes with a “lifetime guarantee.” I brought it back to them and they had “repaired” my truck for two months. When I finally was able to pick up my truck, using a rental car, I decided to pick up my boat. When I was picking it up, my truck broke down along the way there, leaving my dog and me stranded. My phone did not have reception because I was in the mountains; so my dog and I had to walk 5 miles to try to find someone to help or at least let me use their phone. When I was able to use a phone, I called the guy that I was picking up my boat from, and thankfully, he gave my dog and me a ride from Medicino Cou
nty all the way to Antioch. I paid him $100 dollars for helping me and my dog get home, and at the same time he helped tow my boat to my house. Then around the end of April when I finally got my truck back without any paperwork, I noticed that my truck was leaving red marks on the floor which I recognized as transmission fluid. On May 6, 2011, I brought my truck to the Concord location so they could repair a rear main seal leak which they repaired. Until this very day, my truck still is not running right and it’s untrustworthy because I am very nervous about it braking down on me.

Can somebody please help me figure out what I can do to fix my truck because I am not able to tow my boat and I paid $3000 for a lifetime warranty transmission that still doesn’t work? The last AMMCO that worked on my truck is in Santa Rosa (so the warranty goes back to them) which is very far from where I live and all of this is at least $100 each time I bring my truck there which is one way, and all of this is an inconvenience in my life.
