We had our transmission done by AAMCO and 8 months later we starting getting an OD Off light. We took the car back and they told us that there was metal in the fluid and the Torque Converter was fried. They offered to fix it for a fee of course and waive labor. The standard warrantee was for 12 months/12000 miles whichever came first. We live and drive in L.A. so we were above the mileage for the warrantee. We went to a transmission guy referred by our trusted mechanic and he found out that the AAMCO guys had not put the plate back on properly among other things.
So, we are considering taking AAMCO to court to recoup the costs of the original work they did and what it cost to fix their work.
