Bait and Switch Scam

AAMCO rebuilt my transmission and gave a 12/12 warranty which ran out by 12 months before it needed repair again. 20k miles after being rebuilt the transmission started making noises and the seal was leaking. We immediately brought the truck to a different AAMCO which they gave us a quote for $1200.00. Being that the transmission only had 20k miles on it and shifting was not an issue that the only problem would be the pump going bad. After tearing into the transmission I received a call from AAMCO telling me that it would now cost $2900 because I needed to completely rebuild the transmission. Also it would cost me $600 to put the trans back (Bait and Switch). I guess I should have got the quote in writing. As a result of this I will never use AAMCO and will advise all friends and relatives not to.
