We were duped/scammed by Aamco at 3050 Brook Street, Oakland, CA. 94611. We were quoted $1600 to $1900 and when we went to get the car the price was $3800. They were suppose to call me first before they began the repairs, but did not. When we went in to get the car he said $3800. None of the repairs we asked to be done, were not. They were suppose to repair the transmission, because the car could not go in reverse. That was the only problem/concern we had when we took our vehicle in, but they said they had to fix the radiator, because that was the reason the heater we requested them to look at, was not working. So they needed to repair the radiator and fix the hazard light, all included in the $1600-$1900 quote. AZaria called and said the car WAS REPAIRED, and for us to come and get it. I tried to get him three times to go by the quote that the man named Steve quoted us, and he said that “he could not reduce it once it is put in the computer.” I
said to him you can do anything you want. He said yes i can, but he id not reduce it. We had the car back from the shop five minutes, my daughter had to turn back around and take the car back, because it was shaking like it was having it’s own earthquake. His solution was to let it run a while, because it has been sitting for at least seven days. We did that and on the second da, it began the shaking again, and we returned it to azaria, again. He kept the car for two days, for his technicians to check it out again. This situation transpired for at least every two days for three weeks, and we took the car back for the last time, because all of the lights came on it began shaking, like an earthquake, growling like a lion, and screeching like a cockatoo, NONE of which it was doing before his shop repairing the transmission and radiator. After we spoke to Azaria, he became indignant and stated “what do you people what from me, for me to give you something for FREE? We ha
d just paid him $3800 for a car that no longer works, and he has our money, but the car is NO LONGER working, and it is still at his shop. He told us to come get it, because there is nothing else he ca do for us for FREE/ The car is now scrap metal, what about our car and money? He and his staff Steve are schister, and we want a FULL refund of our money, and something for pain and suffering we had to pay for tow and my daughter LOST her job, because she could not get there without her car. We want to signup on this list as victims of Aamco.
