Had my van serviced at Oil Can Henry’s today and they explained that my transmission was leaking, overfilled, had pathetically old fluid, and had particles floating in the fluid. When I told them the transmission was rebuilt about 4K miles ago (by AAMCO of Aloha, Oregon) they recommended I find a trusted mechanic to check it out, as they wouldn’t trust what was actually replaced/done to it. A little over a year has gone by since the work, so it’s technically out of the warranty that they gave me. I just went on AAMCO’s web site and they do not list the shop. I just called the phone number and it goes to a generic voicemail message at a different number.
