AAMCO Scam

I recently had my transmission repaired by AAMCO. Although the service was perfoemed quickly (within 48 Hours), the cost estimate was $1000.00 LOWER than the actual cost. They do not tell you this until the vehicle transmission has been partially disassembeled. If I was to have refused the “additional repairs” I would have been charged $800 to put the car back together the way it was. Or at least PRESUMABLY the way it was. This SHOULD NOT BE AN ACCEPTABLE PROCEDURE. If as they say there was metal in the ils, this could have been detected by removing the oil pan which does not require disassembly and should by no means cost $800.00 to reverse.
