In October, 2008 I made an arrangement with Aamco to drop off my 1993 Dodge Caravan to repair the transmission for $500 (total). Within mere days, I was notified that I needed additional work that was related to the Transmission and the additional work would cost me $780. I responded that I did not have additional money and that I did not think it needed the work.

Today, February 26, I received a phone call from someone saying he was from Aamco demanding that I pay him, $3940.80 to include storage fees, that it was illegal to abandon a vehicle and that if I did not make arrangements by the next day that I would have a warrant for my arrest, that my vehicle would be sold at auction and that I would also have a lien against my personal property.

I plan on contacting the Attorney General and the Better Business Bureau.
